About SolarVeri
SolarVeri publishes off-grid, cabin and RV solar guides built on measured solar data rather than rules of thumb. The project started as a Turkish solar data site covering all 81 provinces of Türkiye; the English guides apply the same data-first method to locations in the United States, the UK and Europe.
The site is operated by Saki Yazılım ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi, Dörtyol / Hatay, Türkiye. You can reach us at info@solarveri.com.
Where the numbers come from
Solar output figures come from PVGIS, the photovoltaic model of the European Commission Joint Research Centre. For US locations we use the PVGIS-NSRDB satellite dataset (from the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory); for Europe, PVGIS-SARAH3. We currently publish data for 38 locations, retrieved 2026-10-21.
Yield per 1 kWp, fixed mount facing south (equator), 14% system losses; tilt30 = 30° tilt, flat = 0° (RV roof).
Off-grid simulations
Battery and off-grid results use PVGIS's stand-alone system simulation, which runs panels, battery and load hour by hour through years of weather. We use two reference systems:
- RV: 400 W flat roof array, 2,560 Wh battery (12 V 200 Ah LiFePO4), 1,200 Wh/day load
- Cabin: 1,600 W array at 45°, 10,240 Wh battery (48 V 200 Ah LiFePO4), 3,000 Wh/day load
Appliance loads in the guides are clearly labeled examples. Your own numbers will differ, which is why every guide shows the formula so you can redo it with your loads.
What we do not do
We do not claim hands-on testing of products we have not tested, and we do not invent figures. When a number is an assumption rather than data, the page says so. If you find an error, email us and we will correct it and note the date of the change.
Advertising and affiliate links
The English guides are supported by advertising. Some pages may in the future contain affiliate links, which are always labeled. Advertising never changes the data or the sizing method. See the privacy policy for details, or start with the guides.
